Newsworthy is owned and managed by Gaëlle McNeil, who has been a champion for worthy causes since the 1980s when she edited and designed The Nova Scotia Worker, a monthly tabloid for the provincial labour movement. Out of that first gig for the labour movement grew a lifelong commitment to social justice, through political and labour campaigns and non-profit organizations.
When not engaged in campaigning Gaëlle likes to engage with the natural world—beach scavenging and the study of plant medicine keep her grounded and inspired.
A published author, she is also working on her next two novels, which should be finished sometime before the end of the century.
